Texture - Bannack Ghost Town 2/22/11 f/2.8 1/500 1:09pm

These pictures were all taken while out at Bannack Ghost Town last week. I was able to grab some very interesting shot around the town as I was able to work on this project. It was the first tie I had ever done HDR so needless to say, it didn't turn out very well at all. I think the only thing that really saved it was the texture that I overlaid on top of it.
The action freeze photo I felt turned out very well. It was just kind of a cool shot to grab. Some of my best photos from this adventure weren't the ones that I was required to take for this assignment so no worries, I still have some good ones that you'll be able to see in class for my posters and prints!

Scanography

For this project we were to scan images to make a picture and a collage. For the first one, the tie, we just had to scan one image to ensure we knew what was going on. The second image is my collage. It's a combination of the last three images. I simply just brought all of the images into photoshop and brought them all together. I was going for somewhat of a musical theme with this scan.

Borders

For this project we were assigned to make some borders to the images that we took. As seen above I made borders to three of the images above. I use the burned edges on the picture below. Of all of these photos and borders, I would have to say that the burnt edges is my favorite. I think that it really does a good job at setting the mood of the picture and it really helps to enhance things.

Portait Edits

For these pictures I did some color editing in Adobe Bridge and Photoshop. I adjusted the vibrance, saturation, and fixed some blemishes here and there and whitened some teeth. I think the pictures turned out pretty well and she was once again a great subject for this project. The second picture was a candid shot. I was just flipping through my pictures and I happened to like this one quite a lot. I'm not that great at editing but I'm slowly getting it.

Portraits

This series of photos were taken of my friend Erica. We just found an old alley way which looked very rustic and we decided to take a few pictures there. We had to climb up on quite a few different things to get the shots we wanted. We got up to some pretty crazy heights which was rather startling but I made it out alive. She did an amazing job at being super photogenic and a lot of the pictures turned out great.
The other picture is of my friend Tucker. He enjoys videography so I captured him in his element of working on a video project while he was behind the camera.
